Crash Blocks Route 30 Lanes, Causes Major Delays In South Central PA

A crash involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle is causing significant traffic delays on Route 30 in West Hempfield Township, authorities confirmed on Wednesday morning, Nov. 20.

The accident occurred in the eastbound lanes near the Prospect Road exit around 6:30 a.m., according to dispatch. The tractor-trailer is reportedly stuck in a construction hole, completely blocking all eastbound lanes at Roosevelt Avenue in York City, dispatch said.

Photos from the scene show the vehicle lodged in the construction area, leading to severe traffic backups. Police have been called to the scene to assist with traffic control.

One lane remains closed, PennDOT reported. Dispatch was unable to confirm if there were any injuries. Drivers should avoid the area and expect delays.
